Ascent Native Fuel Whey protein brings fantastic ingredients and tasty flavors to a crowded protein powder market. This company brings great tasting protein powders comprising healthy ingredients to give consumers a healthy option for their protein fix.
I had the privilege of tasting both the Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter flavors in the Ascent Native Fuel chain of powders. Both tasted great. The flavor surprised me, given the healthier ingredients in the product.
Macros
25g protein to 130 calories for the Chocolate Peanut Butter and 25g to 120 calories for the Chocolate flavor are both consistent with leading competitors. 4.5 net carbs is a little heavy for strict keto dieters who require a low threshold for carbohydrates, especially if said keto dieter wants over one scoop.
Micros
The ingredients in Ascent Native Fuel Whey Protein powders is where they really stand out over their competitors. Sweetened with stevia and monkfruit, these power-sweeteners are some of the healthiest used in today's age of nutritional supplements. The chocolate flavor is cocoa, which has tons of phytonutrients in it and contains few calories for its chocolate punch.
I want to mention that this product contains fewer ingredients than leading competitors such as Quest. Ascent was able to throw together very few ingredients and still create greate tasting protein powders.
Verdict
Strong buy. This is my favorite protein powder on the market at the time of writing this blog. I enjoyed both the Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter flavors. I will include links to Amazon for both of these powders below. I recommend buying the bulk once you figure out if you enjoy the taste.
