Quest products have caught my eye as of late. Their mixture of good and bad ingredients makes them standout from competitors that swing one way or another; sacrificing taste or health. Quest products tend to be more volumetric and have good protein to calorie ratios, their protein powders are no exception.
At this point in time, about half of my reviews are peanut butter related. That being said, this was the best tasting peanut butter product I have had. There's a reason this product is rated "Amazon's Choice" for peanut butter protein!
Macros
110 calories to 24g protein in a single scoop is superb, even for a protein powder. The light amount of calories is ideal for someone trying to do a clean bulk. 2g carbohydrates makes this product great for keto dieters. The amount of protein in a single scoop is nice, some competitors use less protein and so you need two scoops just to have a high amount of protein.
Micros
Since there is milk protein isolate in this protein powder, it is not vegan friendly.
While Quest Protein Powder has stevia in it for sweetener, they also put sucralose in it. Sucralose is possibly not ideal because it is kills healthy gut bacteria in rats, according to this study. I say "possibly" because this has only been proven for rats.
I like micellar casein personally because it acts slowly and that makes it more keto friendly and great for a late night protein shake snack. There is also whey protein isolate in here for the full amino acid profile.
Verdict
For me this protein is a buy. You can buy it on amazon.. It is also one of the cheaper proteins to buy compared to some of the other industry leaders so that's another benefit.
Quest Protein Powder offers a slim solution to gaining protein which makes it ideal for cutters and for those who are clean bulking. Read up on sucralose if that is something that bothers you, personally I am fine with a little sucralose.
